Established in 1973 by Don Jorge y Doña Maria Olamendi, Olamendi’s Mexican Cuisine is a family owned and operated Mexican Restaurant in Dana Point, CA. We are dedicated to use only the freshest and healthiest ingredients. Our home-made Salsas, Moles and Sauces are based on family recipes that are passed down from generation to generation. WE ALSO HAVE A VEGAN MENU SELECTION! The Olamendi's family has their own Tequila brand. Olamendi's Tequila drinks were voted "Best Cocktail in America" by renown Restaurant Hospitality Magazine in 2014, 2015 and 2016. All of our signature Tequila Cocktails are made with Olamendi's Organic Tequila.

Wonderful Mexican Food! So many things to look at! What is really exciting are the pictures on the wall of President Kennedy, & President Nixon. They used to eat there & the menu's reflect what they ate. Many famous photos of actors as well & members of Congress in years past. They have so much to look at, & the colors are all bright & indicative of Mexico. Very homey and friendly.Great customer service.The food was very good, and had lots of flavor. Go, and try it. Pacific Ocean is directly across the street too.

Been coming to this classic Mexican American restaurant for years. If you love tequila they have a family run to tequila company if you love wine they have a great wine. OK let’s get to the brass tacks if you love fish tacos Baja style do the best I have a salon OK let’s get to the brass tacks if you love fish tacos Baja style do the best I have a cilantro creamy dressing that is just to die. They also have amazing soups like pesola traditional enchiladas with a very light red sauce. Tonight I had the fish taco and I had the hibiscus margarita fabulous to yourself to Fresh made guacamole and don’t forget dessert.

Amazing food with a friendly vibe. Really good Vegan 🌱 options on back side of the menu. I recommend The Laguna Beach Burrito 🌯 or the Potato 🥔 Tacos if you’re Vegetarian or Vegan. The homemade Chips and Salsa are tasty 😋 Also a legendary place and a favorite of President Nixon’s while he was in office living in San Clemente. The decor is really awesome and artistic. Good times! 🤙😎

This place is a little gem on the beach front! The food was authentic and delicious. The service was very cordial and they had excellent recommendations! The chicken mole was incredibly flavorful, it was rich and thick with sweetness and spice! The margaritas with their own tequila were a great compliment. I will definitely return while in Dana Point!

The decoration of this restaurant is very beautiful there is a lot of art to look at. Great place to visit with the family. You can sit at the bar or a table, they have a full bar. The food was not Best they got the order wrong from my daughter. Also my food was a combo and the tortillas from the tacos were not warm it was kind hard.... difficult to explain but if you are a taco lover you know what I am taking about. I also wish they had a patio to enjoy the beatiful views of this location. Not sure if I will be going back.

I arrive at this superb restaurant once a month as I like the ambiance that is part of this restaurant. The personel is extremely cordial and skilfull. The service is pretty quick. Not to mention, the food they prepare is first-rate. I visited often and I was never disappointed. The rate is fair. I highly recommend this place to all my friends.

Really enjoyed our meal. High quality and very flavorful. Very homemade feel. A bit expensive but you get good sized portions. And best of all... they make their own tequila!Excited to go back and enjoy a sunset and ocean breeze.
